Tiny Chatty Baby was introduced in 1962. The brunette version came out in 1963. This Tiny Chatty Baby is wearing her original tagged clothes that are tagged "Tiny Chatty Baby 1962". Under her aqua dress she is wearing her original pink checked dress with an organdy top layer and pink checked panties which are also tagged. It appears that her shoes are original since they fit and match perfectly but I have not been unable to verify that they are original. This Tiny Chatty Baby's voice box is not working.




This little Mattel doll from 1999 has soft fluffy blonde hair and is wearing a new homemade dress by Kay that is a reproduction of a homemade dress that was made for another doll in the 1930s. The little quilt, also made by Kay, is also a reproduction of one that was homemade in the 1930s.

Mattel's 1970 version of a baby beans type doll. This doll was made in Taiwan and is 7 inches tall. Her filling is nutshells. Her bonnet and shoes are sewn onto her head and feet and although the clothes fit well they don't really match her bonnet and shoes. I don't know if the clothes are original. I believe that this little doll with freckles and brwn/black eyes is the "baby" of the "Mama & Baby Beans" series by Mattel. The tag on her body says "A quality Original by Mattel", Mattel, Hawthorne, CA. Markings on her head says 1970 Mattel

1965 Mattel "Baby Secret" is suppose to talk and her mouth is suppose to move when her string is pulled. This 40 year old doll is in relatively good shape for a played with doll of that age. She has a blemish on her face and her hair is not very controllable but she is still a cute girl doll. She is wearing her original non-removable clothes that have her name printed on the collar. She has a one piece molded foam body that has wires inside for flexibility. She has vinyl hands and painted eyes on her vinyl head with a mouth that moves when she talks.

This little "flower" is a cute Cabbage Patch Kid who is all plush except for her vinyl head. She has a blue Xavier Roberts signature on her back and a flower tattoo on her right cheek.

Mattel "Hot Looks" International Teenage Fashion Model, "Stacey" from America. 19 inch poseable fashion dolls marketed by Mattel in 1986 and produced for only a short time. Stacey has a vinyl head with rooted hair and painted features. The body is stockinette with internal wires and the swimsuit is non-removeable. The other dolls in the series were Mimi from France, Elkie from Sweden, Chelsea from London, Zizi from Africa, and this doll, Stacey from America.

Only 2.5 inches tall, this mattel babydoll has yellow molded hair and a painted face. The head is stamped 1985 and the body is stamped 1990. The doll is all vinyl with a one piece body without movable limbs, but the head will twist and turn.

Mattel's Singing Mermaid marked 1988-77. When her stomach is pressed she sings a mermaid song which sounds like she is under water. "Oooh-ooh-e-ooh, Oooooh-ooh-e-oooh". She had a small problem which was corrected by replacing the 9V battery connector.

Mattel's 16 inch Kelly, tagged 2001. She is not wearing her original clothes. The outfit she is wearing was homemade by someone who she didn't know. While on a picnic she lost one of her shoes when she was walking across what she thought was a dry creek bed. But, as it turned out, the creek bed was only dry on the top surface. When she got to the middle of the creek her foot sank into the mud and when she pulled her foot out of the mud her shoe was missing. She was so upset that she forgot to stick her hand down into the muddy hole to retrieve her shoe.

It appears as though she is wearing her original dress which is made from fuzzy fabric with one large size snap on the back. She has molded hair which is styled in a ponytail. She has a very unique face with a big smile and her arms and legs are stationary and not jointed at all.

Disney's Poncahontas by Mattel, 1995. Tall and slender, this 16 inch Poncahontas is wearing her original dress. She has long straight black hair and big brown eyes. Most of her body is vinyl but from just above her waist to the top of her legs is cloth and stuffed.

Lila, dressed in lime green, is also approximately 3.5 to 4.0 inches tall and comes with her pet cat. Lila dressed in an orange dress comes complete with her handbag and a basket. The Monchhichi (tm) Monkey was copyrighted in 1974 by Sekiguchi Co., Ltd. A few years later, probably starting in the early 1980s, some of the other toy makers, under license of Sekiguchi Co., Ltd., made the Monchhichi (tm) dolls. This little guy was made in Hong Kong by Mattel, Inc. Even though the fur on his head is missing he's cute and looks like a baby monkey. He is approximately 7 inches tall with brown fur and blue eyes and like the original Monchhichi dolls can put his pacifier into his mouth.

"Twink" Rainbow Brite's white Spite. Rainbow Brite's sidekick and best friend, Twink, is approximately 12 inches tall. The body tag states, "copyright 1983 Hallmark Cards, Inc. and Mattel 1983, made in Korea." Twink has a vinyl face, rainbow stripped legs, a fuzzy white body and gold star antennas. The Sprites have their own names and each belonged to a different kid. Rainbow Brite's sprite is called Twink (white), Red Butler's is Romeo (red), Canary Yellow has Spark (yellow), Patty O'Green's is Lucky (green). The blue one is Champ, and there is a horse named Starlite.

Mattel's 1993 Holiday Doll made for McDonald's. A 4.5 inch doll with a vinyl head and a soft body. The fabric on the body is a Christmas print. His cute little painted face has a pink heart on his left cheek and purple and blue eyes.

"Gia" one of Mattel's "Shorties", copyright 2004. Gia is dressed in her ballet body. Mattel's Shorties are approximately 2 inches tall and have a "Pop Bod", i.e., Shorties bodies are removable and each body is dressed in different clothes. Different dolls came with different playsets appropriate for their wardrobe. Pop on a new body and the Shortie is wearing a new and different outfit. This Gia is wearing a ballet outfit.

Mattel's Dreamland Babies, 1994. "The dream baby you name, personalize and make your very own!" "Take a moment and imagine a wonderful place, in a beautiful world filled with ribbons and lace. Nanny Annie is there with babies and more, she takes care of them all, it's really no chore. The babies are waiting for mommies like you, to cuddle and kiss them and name them too! Select your dream baby, the one you love the best, then give Nanny Annie a call, she'll help with the rest. Just tell her the name of the baby you adore, and she'll send you an outfit, name labels and more! In the Dreamland Nursery there's a baby for you, and a special club for the best mommies too!" This Dreamland Baby is still in her original box, although the box has some wear and tear. She is dressed in all of her original clothes and is complete with her Nanny Annie Baby Book filled with poems, pictures and activities.

Mattel's 2006 "Design My Style" Carrie Baker (copyright American Greetings) from the Holly Hobbie & friends series. Carrie Baker is approximately 12 inches tall and still pristine in her box and still wearing her hot pink jeans, purple knit shirt and lime-green zip-up sweat shirt. She has curly dark hair and brown eyes. There are three dolls in the Holly Hobbie & Friends world and three pets, Cheddar, Doodles, and Bonnet.
