"Berkeley Municipal Rose Gardens, Calif. Easily accessible in the 1200 block of Euclid Ave. Originally it was a deep brush filled canyon. In 1937 construction of semi-circular rock wals and terraces capped with a redwood pergota transformed this canyon to a beauty garden. A variety of 4,000 roses are in almost constant bloom Prominent rose growers send new varieties for test growing. Look west is unobstructed view of Golden Gate." Post Card No. C11997.
