The 1983 New Issue Crissy is 15 1/2 inches tall and came with the same white dress as Velvet in 1983. The 1983 Beautiful Crissy was made with the old Velvet molds and has red hair and a ring on her back instead of a button and knob. Her white sleeveless dress, trimmed with pink, white lace, pink ribbon sash, white t-strap shoes (original outfit) This doll came with a white ribbon instead of a pink ribbon at the waist of her dress. The White dress with pink lace trim, pink ribbon at waist was homemade by Jo from vintage fabric and trims from making a pattern off of the original dress.

1969 first issue Beautiful Crissy in her original dress. The black shoes Crissy is wearing are not original, she came with orange shoes. Her dress is an orange mini dress with orange lace overlay and an orange flocked bow at the neckline, orange underpants to match dress. Orange bow-flat shoes would complete her original outfit.

This is 1970 Velvet (straight waist) in yellow knit fleece robe (homemade by Jo from altered Simplicity Pattern #5276). The t-strap flats in bright aqua color are Velvet's.

Velvet's hair was extra frizzy at the bottom of her ponytail so her Aunt Jo decided it was time to try a hot water perm. She used an empty thread spool and some tissue paper to roll it. Then after holding it with a garbage bag tie she poured hot water on it followed by super cold ice water. She unrolled it and in the photograph it is drying. It looks like her hair did curl but we will see for sure when it gets all dry. It will probably be too loose a curl but should look much better than when it was frizzy.

Velvet is wearing a thin yellow baby fleece robe. The fabric is a thin baby fleece. The fabric was Mary Jo R's and is fairly old. The fabric matches the yellow bow that came off of baby clothes in 1971. The robe is a little long on Velvet but it looks pretty cute being long and snuggly.

Brandi's Aunt Jo finished making the lavender bridesmaid dress. When Brandi tried it on it looked too short and she didn't like it so her aunt added a lace edge on the bottom. Tressy decided to ask Brandi to be her bridesmaid because she didn't want to ask her twin sister. Brandi is Crissy's California Cousin and she was introduced in 1972. She has painted eyes and a California tan.
