1928 Model A Ford Phaeton

  • The Model A has never lacked for riders, but none were happier than the multitude of children that took rides in the Model A.
  • During Austin's celebration parade of the Nation's Bicentennial Celebration in 1976, the Model A was to be included in the parade, but inclement weather forced cancellation of the parade.
  • The Model A was used for traveling to and from work, an afternoon paper route, to haul gravel, to transport a pump organ from Washington County to Austin, to pack a gravel floor in a garage, and to transport lawn mowers and yard tools.
